The Sourcing Specialist will support the development and execution of enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for assigned Categories within the TRIMEDX Supply Chain. Responsibilities include new supplier evaluation and monitoring, tactical sourcing support, delivering cost reduction initiatives, business process improvements, and supplier risk mitigations with focus on quality and compliance. The Sourcing Specialist will partner with the Category Manager ensuring superior supplier value delivery for all TRIMEDX. The Sourcing Specialist will help manage key suppliers through Supplier Relationship Management best practices such as contract management, scorecards, business reviews and other methods required to ensure the company’s best interests are served. The Sourcing Specialist will ensure all governmental, local laws and codes in addition to business ethics are adhered to when developing sourcing strategies, selecting suppliers, and supporting supplier contract negotiations.
The Sourcing Specialist should have a customer centric approach and work to proactively provide solutions for all internal and external customers; and should exhibit strong communication and presentation skills to represent the department as needed.
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana; we are seeking candidates that currently reside in the central Indiana region; within approximately a 70 mile range of Indianapolis. Our Central (Corporate) Office is located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Position is hybrid (remote, occasional in-office, as well as required business travel which is approximately 10%).

Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Support (50%)
- Support the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans for products and services in alignment with organizational mission and business needs.
- Employ working knowledge of contractual relationships and discount structures.
- Manage new supplier requests to ensure sourcing strategy compliance and supplier quality standards.
- Help manage suppliers through Supplier Relationship Management practices such as contract management, scorecards, business reviews and other methods required to ensure the company’s best interests are served.
- Manage updates and accuracy.
Customer Service (25%)
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, cross-functional colleagues, and suppliers.
- Align stakeholders through focused change management process.
- Assist new and existing field operations in setup and understanding of the category management process.
- Respond to internal customer questions concerning category management procedures and processes Support internal customers and suppliers with supplier identification, contract information, and sourcing needs.
- Must set a consistent example for Procurement Coordinators and Procurement Specialists and exemplify the company Core Standards.
Continuous Improvement (25%)
- Seek constant improvement for Supply Chain by participating in projects and meetings internally, with suppliers, and across the company.
- Provide direction for Supply Chain regarding Supplier selection, internal processes, efficiency, accuracy, and other improvement initiatives.
- Drive improvement initiatives in Quality, Reporting, Cost Reduction, Procedures, Supplier Audits, etc.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 or more years purchasing experience preferred
- Exposure to the healthcare industries preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to perform research and complex problem-solving
- Proven experience and ability to simultaneously manage diverse functions
- Ability to manage time and set priorities amidst multiple tasks and deadlines
- Must have demonstrated strong written, verbal and presentational communication skills
- Must have experience with process documentation and leading change within a team
- Ability to present at meetings and represent Value Chain to other departments and be a team lead on special projects.
- Ability and desire to train and mentor others and act as team lead when required
- Must have strong team building, interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop and nurture trusting relationships with Suppliers
- Demonstration of knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel
- Strong background in data analysis and metric tracking
- Ability to travel <10%
Education and Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
