Summary

The Senior Software Engineer creates desired functionality to assigned domain, products or services in application development, that impacts future developments. Supports and may lead initiatives including multiple features and applications involving highly integrated design and architecture. Demonstrates knowledge of solutions within multiple domain(s) product(s) or service(s). Responsible for creating desired functionality to assigned content, products or services in ecommerce. Develops, tests and implements software that provides robust technical infrastructure and/or software applications used by business units.

Responsibilities

  • Architects applications and underlying frameworks with consideration for scalability, maintainability, and long-term technical strategy.

  • Leads technical design reviews and provides architectural guidance across teams.

  • Drives implementation of complex features across multiple platforms, mentoring engineers on best practices and design patterns.

  • Establishes testing strategies and quality standards in partnership with QA, ensuring comprehensive coverage and automation.

  • Defines and evolves framework architecture, software standards, and system-wide improvements with measurable impact.

  • Evaluates project requirements, provides technical leadership in design decisions, and identifies risks and trade-offs.

  • Executes upgrades, migrations, optimizations, new implementations and identifies and resolves efficiency issues.

  • Develops reusable tools, libraries, and automation frameworks that improve team productivity and system reliability.

  • Designs and implements infrastructure solutions for operating environments, considering security, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

  • Defines and validates comprehensive test strategies for new and existing environments, ensuring production readiness.

  • Serves as escalation point for critical issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge in problem solving, database, application servers, application design and testing.

  • 3+ years of experience in software coding and development.

Education and Qualifications

Required:

Associates degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in MIS, computer science or related fields.
